In 1993, he was awarded the "Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year" Award by a publicly traded corporation.

He is an accomplished author and speaker, having published numerous professional articles and papers in the field of ADR including the Mediator Classification Index, Responding When The Other Side Doesn’t Have Settlement Authority, A Winning Formula For Mediation, How Structure Helps Mediation, Desktop Guide to ADR and Mediating In Cyberspace. Mr. Krivis approaches each case strategically by beginning with a private session with each side, generally followed by a joint session.
